WVC was a featured act at the annual Night of a Thousand Stars Gala hosted by Telus and the VGH UBC Foundation. The group filmed a professional music video and gave a live performance of “You Will Be Found” from the acclaimed Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen”.

WVC was invited to perform at Anxiety Canada’s Launch Celebration for their #MindShiftCBT app, managed by their very own Joey Carlos. To be a part of an event that raises awareness in mental health and to the resources and programs dedicated towards helping many Canadians with anxiety was a truly humbling experience for the members.

During the Christmas season in 2018, the members prepared, produced and performed a benefit concert called “This Christmas”. This concert was a collaboration with Saint Andrew’s Parish in efforts to build a new elementary school.

Five of our members had the privilege of taking part in an amazing wedding proposal! They sang “All My Life” by K-Ci & Jojo, wonderfully arranged by Dan Edward Thiessen who also played the piano, featuring local strings ensemble Timeless Music Entertainment.

This May, the members went on a retreat to Penticton where we had the privilege of performing at the beautiful Painted Rock Estate winery for the staff and the visitors! We sang “Butterfly” by Rajaton (music/lyrics by Mia Makaroff) - a song loved by many of the members from their nostalgic high school choir days.

The members had the privilege of performing at the “We Are One Family” Carnival at LaFarge Lake in Coquitlam. A little bit of rain didn’t stop the attendees from having fun and the Wings members from singing their hearts out!
